Winter is over, and the snow blower has been put away for the season! Looking ahead to summer, the church HVAC system has received its annual tune-up, and any questionable parts have been repaired. After the Easter services, the carpets throughout the church were cleaned, especially in the hallway between the Narthex and the Upper Hall. Thanks to Joe Carroll, the cemetery flagpole light has been repaired as well.
Our largest property concern at this time is the church steps and walkways. Snow, ice, and salt have taken a toll, and the surfaces have deteriorated. We are working to identify the best repair options and skilled craftspeople to complete the work, while maintaining—and improving—the beauty of our grounds.
As always, if you notice any maintenance concerns, please notify myself or the Rev’d Ben. If you are interested in lending a hand to help us care for our historic church, we would be delighted to hear from you. There is always room for new members on the Property Committee.
