“Back to Normal”

For all who read my report in September you will recall that there was very little to report. Well, all that has changed.

Since that report we have signed a new exterminator service and we have replaced our HVAC contractor. These new contractors are scheduled to start their work on our property before the month is over. We changed the way our trash is stored and the frequency with which it is collected, while saving money in the process. We worked to try to straighten some leaning lampposts along the walkways. There is also a new faucet set in the restroom by the narthex. If that is not enough, we had an unusual problem with low water flow in our system, first observed in the kitchen. That turned out to be a significant unexpected expense for parts and installation on our UV water purification system.

But…here’s the preview for November: November 1 is our Annual Fall Cleanup. Bring your rakes, leaf blowers, and tarps and join us at 9:00 AM on Saturday November 1. It will be a great day to help the church get ready for the autumn. I look forward to seeing your there.

In closing, if you see something that needs our attention, please let me know. If you’d like to be available to lend a hand in our work to keep our old church young, let me know about that too. There’s always an open spot on the Property Committee.

Regards,

Ken Mancini
