2026 Back to School Drive

St. Andrew’s Church has a tradition of partnering with The Bridge Academy in Coatesville to bring back to school supplies to students who are in need. This year, the Bridge Academy requested donations of high impact items. These items go beyond traditional school supplies and help support students throughout the school year by promoting academic success, organization, confidence, and daily readiness for school. As in past years, St. Andrews’ parishioners responded with great generosity! We donated:

  • 16 sets of headphones

  • 12 scientific and basic calculators

  • 4 Chromebook power bricks

  • 6 alarm clocks

  • 20 boxes of educational flash cards

  • Assorted binders, thumb drives, etc.

The Bridge Academy will host a multi-day Back-to-School Outreach and Bridge Backyard BBQ. On August 4–5, students and families will receive backpacks, school supplies, and hygiene kits. Then on August 6, they will host a Backyard BBQ where families can enjoy a meal together while accessing additional resources including food, fresh produce, clothing, diapers, wipes, and community support.

A special thanks to our Vacation Bible School for promoting this cause and collecting donations early on. Thanks also to Tiffany Zuch for donating a large order of the red St. Andrew’s bags shown in the photo! You can learn more about The Bridge Academy by visiting https://www.thebridgeacademy.org/.

Coventry and Essential Pantries

Thank you to all who have donated food and hygiene items to these very worthy organizations. Summer is a particularly difficult month for families in need, as donations tend to slow down but the need is greater with schools out of session. Please continue to donate non-perishable food and hygiene items. Items can be left in the Biddle room, and we will ensure delivery.
