Summer Food Pantry Needs

Summer food bank donations typically drop because seasonal giving fades, yet demand spikes. With school out, children who rely on free or reduced-price meals lose their safety net, placing immense pressure on local pantries. We at St. Andrew’s can help bridge this summer gap by donating items that are in high demand.

Seasonal Giving: Most donations are concentrated around Thanksgiving and Christmas, leaving pantries depleted by early summer.

School Season: Families face higher grocery bills as kids no longer receive free or reduced meals during the summer break. As you do your weekly grocery shopping, please consider adding a non-perishable item to your cart for donation to the Coventry Food Pantry in Pottstown so that they can be prepared for the coming months.

The Pantry is in constant need of the following items:

  • Jelly (Plastic containers preferred)

  • Peanut Butter

  • Tuna

  • Canned Meats

  • Canned Fruit

  • Cereal and Oatmeal

  • Pasta Sauce

  • Pasta

  • Rice and Side Dishes

  • Cleaning Supplies

  • Paper Products

  • Personal Supplies (soap, toothpaste, laundry detergent)

  • Diapers and Wipes

Items can be dropped off in the baskets in the Biddle Room, and we will take care of delivering them to Coventry. To learn more about Coventry Food Panty, visit http://coventryfoodpantry.com.
