Outreach Committee Meeting
The Outreach Committee plans to meet on Sunday, September 14 after the 10:00 a.m. service. The committee and meeting are open to anyone with an interest in furthering St. Andrew’s charitable mission in the community and beyond. We welcome your attendance and input!
Backpack Drive
The response to the 2025 backpack drive for students in underserved communities was outstanding. St. Andrew’s delivered 21 backpacks and a large assortment of school supplies to children in need. In addition to parishioners’ donations, the Vacation Bible School brought in donations from VBS attendees. Thank you to everyone who donated!
The backpacks have been distributed by The Bridge Academy charity in Coatesville. Thank you to all who have contributed to this very important cause!
Coventry Food Bank
Coventry Food Bank serves over 100 families within the OJR school district. Please consider donating canned goods, cereal, and personal items (toothpaste, shampoo, paper products, feminine products, baby products, etc.). Items can be left in the Biddle Room.
Good Works Day
Good Works is a Christian organization, based in Coatesville, that repairs homes for needy residents. Local churches often sponsor a Saturday work day, where a team donates their time and skills (from small to large) to effect repairs. At this point, we are trying to gauge whether or not there is sufficient interest in assembling a St. Andrew’s work party for a Fall Saturday. If you are interested in participating, please contact myself at dougpratt@verizon.net, or John Eblacker at johne56@aol.com.
