Dear Friends,

I hope you are having a wonderful summer of adventure and family time. I know that I’ve been enjoying the air conditioning this summer more than ever. I am not a lover of hot, humid days! 

It’s always hard for an extroverted person like myself, who enjoys the community of coffee hour, to not see many of you during the summer months. But it won’t be long before we will be having our Parish Picnic on Sunday, September 8th and launching another great year of church school. Depending on the weather, I hope to have the picnic outside to take advantage of our playground and open space. While I’m still in the planning stages, it’s not a bad idea to plan to bring your lawn chair to sit and mingle together. Look for a Sign-Up Genius in the announcements and also a physical sign-up sheet to sign-up to bring the supplies for the picnic, so that we can share our bounty of good food and talents in the kitchen with one another. August brings a few remaining opportunities to try hosting a Coffee Hour Pop-Up in the atrium. It’s simple; just make coffee in the kitchen and bring the coffee and appropriate complements of sugar, creamer and supplies to the front wooden table.
