Children’s Day
We celebrated Children’s Day on Sunday, June 4, 2023. We congratulated the high school and college graduates of St Andrew’s and offered a great big thank you to our Sunday school volunteers. The youth and children assisted with many parts of the service that included readings, child-generated prayers of the people, ushering, greeting, and the sermon.
Hero Hotline VBS 2023
June 26 - June 29 we hosted VBS here at St. Andrew’s! It was a fun-filled week of Bible stories, crafts, games, music, science, and snacks all centered around learning how everyone can be a hero and help each other. We celebrated our week on Sunday, July 2 with a VBS Hero Hotline-themed coffee hour where we shared Super photos, heroic adventures, and some fortifying snacks. This week would not be possible for our Heroes (kids) without the Sidekicks (volunteers)! Whether you assisted during the week, at home, monetarily, or by donating much needed supplies, thank you! Each volunteer is important and valued, your support has created a week full of fantastic VBS memories!
Busy Bins
As a reminder to families who join us for Sunday services through the summer, although Sunday school and nursery are on break, there are coloring pages and crayons on the table in the Narthex that can be taken into the service. These are usually changed every couple of weeks to keep it interesting, and the previous week's pages are in a pile under the newest ones on top. There are also toys and books available in the atrium for your children to use if they need a break before, after, or during the service. We love having our families join us all summer long.
