Hello St. Andrew's! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. As we head toward the fourth quarter of 2022 there are many exciting things to look forward to. I encourage you to take the time to read through all the Piper announcements as there are many areas of opportunity and action within our ministry departments.
I’m most excited about our Sunday Kickoff on September 11th where many of our programs and activities will resume. It’s also a time of year where we need some helping hands - if you are ready to get involved, or would like more involvement, please ask how and we can point you in the right direction.
Here’s a summary of our current Highlights, Opportunities, Dependencies, and Challenges as a church:
Highlights
Choir, Coffee Hour, Sunday School resume Sept 11th (Kickoff Sunday)
Raised money and hit goals to support local house fire victims and Kentucky flood victims - thank you for the support!
Church garden harvested 50 lbs. YTD of vegetables going towards Outreach
St Andrew's is now a chartering church for Troop 220 of the Boy Scouts
Opportunities
Part Time Family Ministry Director: Interviews with candidates have begun and hoping to have someone in the position within the 4th quarter.
Essential Question Program - New Adult Christian Formation Program starting mid September.
Chicken BBQ - community and fundraising event on September 17th.
Communion Class - Coming in October
St Andrew's Merchandise Sale - Fundraising program for youth, get your swag! Coming in September/October.
Dependencies (items that impact our ability to accomplish opportunities/goals)
Special campaign to support Family Ministry Director position - please consider a special gift to kickstart the position.
Challenges (items that pose obstacles)
Additional funding sources to support future projects and vision for growth.
Fulfillment of pledges on a decline to our forecasted budget. We humbly ask that you keep current with giving.
