Outreach

Merry Christmas St. Andrew’s! Outreach had a productive December with two special drives completed. First, our giving tree put gifts in the hands of 20 children – supporting families with a parent facing incarceration. Second, our Bridge of Hope/ Good Samaritan collection put Christmas meals on the tables of ten families. All the delicious

fixings for a holiday meal were hand delivered to the Good Samaritan foundation.

Of course, we also delivered our monthly meal to the Atkinson men’s shelter in Coatesville. I was especially overjoyed to see how quickly our signups – for all three of these ministries – filled up. Way to spread the holiday cheer St. Andrew’s!

Outreach was also able to deliver another full trunk load of dry goods and healthy snacks to the Coventry Food Pantry. CFP has been a long-standing collection that continues to benefit families in our local community; families who do not enjoy the same level of food security many of us take for granted. The holidays are often a time of joy and plenty. As Psalms 23:5-6 states, “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” I pray we continue to enjoy full tables and cups overflowing with Christ’s love; and that we continue to share that spiritual wealth through our gifts and actions with all our neighbors.

Prayers to all for a healthy and happy 2024 ahead!
