Stewardship

During this time of year, we are reminded of the strong connections to rebirth. Most visibly we see the reemergence of flowers and of God’s creatures like birds, bugs and other critters. We are also reminded of the rebirth of our faith as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ and are reminded of the faith that Jesus asks all of us to keep in our hearts. During this year’s spring Lenten season, I also feel a rebirth of our St. Andrew’s family as we rub the winter from our eyes and look towards a new year filled with love, laughter, and memories.

I wanted to take this time to thank everyone who was able to join us for our first Pizza Bingo night in several years. Nothing can be more rewarding than seeing the excitement in the kids’ faces as they triumphantly raise hands, yelling “Bingo!”. In the moment, I think everyone in the room felt like a kid again. Looking ahead, we have several more fun events planned for the congregation that will allow us to join together for fun and fellowship and create memories together.

I wanted to finish by saying thank you for your support as we enter a new chapter of our St. Andrew’s history with Reverend Ben as our Rector and spiritual leader. Through your generous giving, we have been able to plan a year of events and fund our current goals. As you may be aware, there is still a shortfall for where we all would like to be in order to function comfortably with peace of mind for our future, so I urge you to continue your support of the church through giving of your time, talents and overall generosity.

God Bless,

Jeff Herrera
