Stewardship

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.

The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

~ 2 Corinthians 5:17

Spring has arrived despite what the groundhog had to say! This is the time of year where we welcome back the birds, bugs, and critters along with flowers and green in the trees. I also want to take this opportunity to welcome back anyone who has returned to the church to celebrate Christ’s love during this Lenten season. The return to church can be literally those who have not been coming to service to worship for a period of time, but it is also referring to those who are reflecting on their commitment to God and resetting their spiritual compass. I know that at times I feel like I am doing everything right by attending services and giving through tithing, but at certain times of the year it occurs to me that my heart needs to be more “in the game” so that I truly hear Christ’s message and live his teachings. Much like the groundhog, it’s a good time of the year to rub the weariness out of our eyes and begin to see again the path that has been laid out for us to follow.

I would like to wish you and your family a happy Easter and invite you to bring any reluctant family members or friends & neighbors who may want to participate in worship but are unsure how to take that first step. All are welcome at St. Andrew's with open arms, hearts and minds.

God Bless,

Jeff Herrera
