Hello St. Andrew’s! Thank you for taking the time to read through our monthly newsletter. We have a lot to share from several of our areas of ministry you won’t want to miss.

As we approach the holidays, often people from the community are looking for a church to attend for some of the special services held throughout the end of the year. Many searches begin with Google to see what is close by and the online reviews. We have some great reviews on Google, but it’s helpful to have some fresh new ones from our parishioners to continue to attract visitors. If you can spare a moment to write a review for St. Andrew’s it would be most appreciated!

Below are our current Highlights, Opportunities, and Dependencies as a church. These are just high-level bullet points and further information can be found within the individual ministry reports or by contacting a ministry leader.

Highlights (October)

  • Community Yard Sale: Many sellers and buyers occupied our parking lot for this October event, which also helped raise money for the church through the rental of table space.

  • Michaelmas Evensong: A special choral experience for worship and prayer. We hope to continue these throughout the church program year. Thank you to Audrey Drennen, our Director of Music, and our wonderful volunteer choir for these enriching experiences.

  • Oktoberfest Fellowship Event: We had a festive event to celebrate the Oktoberfest season with great German food, libations, and tons of fun. A big thank you to Julia Sanders for leading this event, along with all the generous and supportive volunteers. See the Fellowship Report for more details.

  • UNICEF Trick or Treat – Youth Outreach: Thank you to our youth for continuing this tradition along with all the people who supported it with generous loose change.

  • Lots of action with property maintenance this month. Thank you, Ken Mancini, for your leadership over our property and grounds. See the report for details!

  • Liberty Union was our Restaurant Fundraising Partner with 15% of proceeds for meals on Sundays in October going to St. Andrew’s.

Opportunities

  • Interested in Vestry? We have several members that will be transitioning off our leadership team in February and we’re seeking motivated individuals to join our team. If interested in serving, please contact Rev’d Ben.

  • Stewardship season is here! Please begin to pray and plan for 2026 pledges to support our church programs and ministries. Thank you to those that are sharing their personal stories at services, and please mark your calendar for the Annual Family Meeting after the 10am service on Nov 16th.

  • Woman’s Bible Study - This group meets on 1st and 3rd Mondays from 6:30pm – 8pm. Contact Nancy Carroll at 610-209-0246.

  • Fall Youth Bonfire – Nov 2nd from 6-8pm. Come join the fun including hot dogs, smore’s, games, and more. All ages welcome, contact Kristy Campagna for more information.

  • Open Mic Night for musicians at St. Andrew’s continues monthly. Come and perform or simply relax and listen to a variety of local musicians. Our next event will be November 10th from 6:30-9pm.

  • Fall Cleanup – join us on Nov 1st from 9am to noon to help tidy our grounds and prepare it for the winter months.

  • Spread the word and look for opportunities to invite others to our church. There are people out there searching for a church community like ours. Also, we have St. Andrew’s yard signs if you have a good place to provide some visibility and soft advertising.

Dependencies (items that impact our ability to accomplish opportunities/goals)

  • Volunteers - We need you! Please consider upcoming events to lend a helping hand. If you need any guidance to align your gifts/passions to volunteer efforts at the church, just ask Rev’d Ben or a Vestry member.

  • Reminder to keep up with financial pledges, your gifts are important to the sustainability of our programs. Thank you!
