Rector's Warden's Report

Greetings St. Andrew's! It’s hard to believe we’re six months into the year already. As Memorial Day opens the door to the summer months where things tend to slow down and many are vacationing, there are some exciting things coming our way. I look forward to the combined service on June 5th for Youth Sunday and cookout where we’ll have the opportunity to mingle with those that don’t cross paths as often due to the separate services. I encourage all of us to seek out people we don’t know - it’s easy to migrate to familiar faces, but I challenge you to find new ones to get to know. There are so many interesting people and backgrounds at our church!

As much as there are exciting things happening, we do face some challenges (noted below). One of our biggest area of challenge would be congregational growth. Our church is such a wonderful place for all ages to come and grow spiritually while being supported by a loving community. Help get the word out this summer, invite friends, look for newcomers to welcome and feel at home. This is something we can all do to help, and with it will come growth and opportunity for St. Andrew's.

Lastly, as you’ve heard from our Sunday announcements, the last Sunday for Livestream will be June 5th. We are looking forward to focusing on in-person worship, and we know that if there is ever a need or circumstance where we have a pressing need to shift back to Livestream, we can. I want to extend a BIG thank you to Eddie Moore who has been our steadfast livestream tech for almost a full year. He has been one of the most consistent volunteers to support our services and has been impressive in the way he handled this important responsibility. We wish him all the best as he graduates high school and attends Penn State as a freshman this fall. Thank you Eddie!
