FELLOWSHIP

Dear Friends,

Happy September and welcome to our new program year for church! I hope you all had an enjoyable summer doing what you love to do most.

Fellowship starts in earnest in September, but we weren’t really lacking in fellowship as we had a great time offering “Pop-Up Coffee Hour” in the narthex over the summer. Many enjoyed lingering over a cup of coffee catching up on the summer trips, happenings and commiserating over missing children after a college drop-off. Thank you to John Frommer, Kristy Campagna, Meg Sebastianelli and any other helpers that assisted in making coffee in the narthex a reality. You are greatly appreciated!

Coffee Hour Fellowship needs you! Want to host a coffee hour? Do you want to host, but aren’t sure how to run that big coffee maker? I’m here to help! Look for training and partnership days in the announcements this fall for interested folks who would like to work with me to host a coffee hour. Please click here to sign-up to host.

Our first Fellowship event for the program year is on Kickoff Sunday - September 7th - after the combined 10 a.m. service. After commissioning the Sunday School teachers during the service, we will celebrate the start of the Sunday School year and being together after summer with a Parish Picnic. If the weather cooperates we will host the picnic outdoors. We will provide cheeseburgers, hotdogs and all of the fixings, you provide the side dishes, desserts and drinks, so stay for lunch, fellowship and fun as we gather together. Your help makes a difference, so consider signing up to help set-up the tables and chairs outside or clean-up afterwards. Please click here to sign-up to bring something, or to sign-up to help.

We plan on having s’mores over the fire pit and outdoor games. Have a pop-up tent you want to lend for shade? That would be much appreciated and can be indicated on the sign-up link above.
