Dear Friends,
In this season of Lent we take time to reflect and wait expectantly for the joyous celebration of Easter. In this spirit, we will gather together in the Upper Hall for a reception after the Saturday, April 19th Easter Vigil service that starts at 7:00 p.m. This will be a lovely Spring reception with sparkling wine for guests and members – all are welcome and encouraged to attend this sacred and special service. For Easter Sunday there will be what I call a Pop-Up Coffee hour in the Narthex at both services. We discovered that there are some Sundays where it makes sense to provide a warm welcome in a smaller, but more visual way by having coffee without the need to wander back to the Upper Hall. New airpots
have been purchased to facilitate the ease of having coffee away from the kitchen. These airpots will make meetings and events much more user-friendly for hosts and guests as they hold both hot and cold beverages at temperature for 24 hours. The smaller airpot will be used for DECAF coffee.
Look for new Coffee Hour sign-up sheets outside of the Upper Hall that go through the summer. The online Sign-Up Genius has been updated as well, so don’t delay – pick your dates before someone else gets them! We will use our airpots to facilitate Summer Pop-Up Coffee for the months of July & August, making it easy to host and clean-up. Please click here to sign-up or the paper copy at church.
